Second Rutte cabinet

The Cabinet Rutte II since 5 November 2012, the Government of the Netherlands. This grand coalition is made up of right-wing liberal Volkspartij voor de Vrijheid Democracy (VVD ) and the Social Democratic Partij van de Arbeid ( PvdA). The government looks to 2017 before austerity measures of around 16 billion euros.

In the early parliamentary elections on 12 September 2012 the right-wing liberals and the Social Democrats, the main parties were in the Second Chamber. On 29 October, the two party leaders Mark Rutte and Diederik Samsom submitted the coalition agreement of VVD and PvdA. The motto of the second Cabinet Rutte is to build bridges ( nld. Bruggen slaan ).

On 5 November 2012, the new Minister of the Government laid before Queen Beatrix the oath of office on the Dutch Constitution from. For the first time in the history of the Netherlands, the swearing in the royal palace Huis ten Bosch was publicly and to see live on television and the Internet.

The new government took a total of 54 days.
