The Second Thai - Lao Friendship Bridge ( Thai สะพาน มิตรภาพ 2 ไทย - ลาว ), ( Lao ຂົວ ມິດ ຕະ ພາບ ໄທ - ລາວ II) leads over the border river Mekong, connecting the province of Mukdahan in Thailand with Savannakhet in Laos the place.
General
Opened on 9 January 2007 Road bridge is 1600 meters long and 12 meters wide and has two lanes in legal relations. The Rule of exchange takes place on the Thai side, whereas at the First Thai - Lao Friendship Bridge ( Nong Khai - Vientiane) is the case of Laotian side.
Construction began on 21 March 2004, were completed on 19 December 2006. The bridge was officially opened by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on 20 December 2006.
