Securigera ( Beilwicken or Plebejus ) is a genus in the subfamily of the Fabaceae ( Faboideae ) within the legume family ( Fabaceae ).
Description
There are perennial or annual, herbaceous plants. The unpaired pinnate leaves have entire margins leaflets. Stipules are present.
The inflorescences are doldig. The hermaphrodite flowers are zygomorphic. Are formed legumes.
Occurrence
The species of the genus are found throughout Eurasia and North Africa. Some species are invasive plants worldwide.
System
Per Lassen 1989 subtribes Coronillinae processed while the genera Coronilla, Hippocrepis and Securigera reorganized and distinguished from one another. It was found, for example, let the Colorful Kronwicke ( Coronilla varia L.) in the genus Securigera as Securigera varia ( L.).
