Securitas (Swedish security company)
Securitas AB is a Swedish security company based in Stockholm. The company employs approximately 300,000 employees in more than 50 countries and generated 2012 sales of 7.3 billion euros.
Erik Philip - Sörensen bought in 1934 in Helsingborg the security company AB Hälsingborgs Nattvakt and changed its name in 1972 after further acquisitions - such as 1999, the oldest American detective agency Pinkerton - Securitas AB under. Securitas is currently the world's largest provider of security solutions in the private security industry and is represented in Germany with approximately 19,200 employees at 85 sites around. The company is active in the fields of security services and security technology. Internationally, the company operates under the name of Securitas. As in Switzerland, that name is already protected under trademark law, the company bears there the name Protectas SA. 2001, the security technology under the name of Securitas Systems has, today Niscayah, as an independent division spun off.
Logo
The logo is made up of three red dots together on a black background. They stand for: attention, honesty and willingness to help. Below the three arranged on a horizontal points of the lettering Securitas standing in golden capital letters, now in white, the specially created font Securitas Sans (since June 2008).

Securitas Germany
The economic situation of cash and valuables transportation division Germany remained sustained behind the Group's expectations. After the biggest competitor hero had caused with dumping the bankruptcy of many competitors and the German Federal Bank, contrary to the guidelines of the European Central Bank decided to act as a state-funded competitor, the management decided to repel the cash and valuables transportation division of Securitas Germany for a symbolic price. On 28 November 2005 it was taken over by competitors hero, then walked the short time in bankruptcy.
By now 100 percent for German associated Securitas Heros the hitherto independent medium Renful Air Traffic Services GmbH will then ( founded in 1995 in Frankfurt / Main ) was acquired in March 2006. Then was the renaming of this new subsidiary in Securitas Air Traffic Services GmbH in 2007. The legal independence remains formal.
In March 2008, the new subsidiary then became nationwide in the headlines because it hindered the establishment of a works council by the dismissal of union members at Frankfurt Airport as declared by the trade union Verdi.
In Neu -Isenburg employees of the company have been used for several years as an auxiliary police to monitor parked vehicles and the issue of penalties. The Securitas employee working as contract workers for the clerk's office, but they are clothed and paid by Securitas.
In April 2008, the technology subsidiary Securitas Systems changed its name to the independent company Niscayah to GmbH. Security firm Securitas merged in May 2008 with G4S Security Systems, a UK subsidiary and the largest provider of safety engineering in Germany. The merger was approved in late April by the Federal Cartel Office. With the acquisition of the company's market share rises to 14 percent.
Securitas in Switzerland
Since more than 100 years are the security services provider Securitas AG in Switzerland, Securitas AB had to choose another name there. Thus arose with Protectas SA in Switzerland - by Securitas AG - the second largest security company with 19 offices. In addition, all activities related to the aviation Protectas Aviation Security AG are controlled, an independent company. The Swiss logo with the three dots similar to that of Securitas AB, but among them is Protectas.
