Security Information Service

Bezpečnostní informační služba ( BIS), German " Security Information Service ," is the Czech domestic intelligence service. The Secret Service reports directly to the government.

Historical development

After the Velvet Revolution, the communist secret Státní bezpečnost was dissolved without follower. The new domestic intelligence has been built from scratch. In the early days there was no way to fachlichem staff with appropriate experience.
