Seder Olam Rabbah

Seder Olam Rabbah ( סדר עולם רבה ), originally only Seder Olam, "the great World Chronicle ", is a traditional ben Jose Chalafta attributed, written in Hebrew ancient Jewish chronicle script, which mostly closely adheres to the biblical chronology, and already in the Talmud is quoted.

Characteristics

After 200 edited and supplemented later by a multiple, she describes in 27 or 30 chapters with the main events from the creation of the world until the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar, the Persian period and the key events between Alexander the Great and Bar Kochba.

Seder Olam Rabbah, the real author is unknown, is considered the first post-biblical Hebrew Scriptures, the general recognition has found. It was widely read, studied, annotated and translated into Latin.
