Seefeld (Zürich)

Seefeld is a neighborhood in the city of Zurich in a circle 8 ( Ries Bach), located on the right bank of Lake Zurich, which is 71.6 % (1.76 km ² ) occupies the total area of the district.

Culture and Sport

Sights include the spacious parks and quays with various sculptures (among Heureka by Jean Tinguely and Sheep Piece by Henry Moore), the Chinese Garden and the last designed by the architect Le Corbusier building. Next to mention are the two seaside resorts Utoquai and deep wells, the Botanical Garden and the old mansions and the mill deep wells, a former brewery and mill, which is now used as a cultural and Begegnungszemtrum. In Seefeld can be found above average number of delicatessens, hairdressers and law firms. As the residential district of Seefeld is very popular, but also correspondingly expensive.

With FC Seefeld Zurich the quarters in the first league, the third- highest division of Swiss football, is represented.

Traffic

In the neighborhood there is the deep well station, which is served by the lines S6 and S16 of the Zurich S-Bahn in the quarter- hour intervals. The Fine closure provide Tram lines 2 and 4, and the trolley bus line 33 of the Zurich Public Transport (VBZ ) and the bus lines 912/916 safely.

Since the main axis of the right shore of Lake Zurich leads along the lake in the city, the area is heavily burdened by the lake along the road and at Bellerive- road separates the sea shore with its parks and compact residential and commercial area.

From Zurich horn ( deep wells ) Seaplanes the Swiss airline Ad Astra Aero came in the 1920s for use.
