Seekers

Seekers ( engl. seekers) were called Christians in England in the 17th century, who were dissatisfied with the common understanding of faith and began to search for new and deeper insights. The emergence of this movement can be seen in the context of something greater acceptance for religious freedom during the Commonwealth.

The Quakers are considered as a group that emerged from the Seekers and Dissenters. The Ranters are a different, but broke up in contrast to the Quakers later. The Seekers were laymen itinerant preacher who moved singly or in loosely organized groups around the country to preach and discuss.
