Segbroek

Segbroek is a municipality of The Hague ( s'Gravenhage ) and is located between Scheveningen in the north, Loosduinen in the south and the town center to the east.

Traffic

Some of the major roads are the Segbroeklaan and the Laan van Meerdervoort, both of which lead to the center of The Hague. To the east of Afvoerkanaal from the port runs to the city center, this one has for shipping but no meaning. The district is the Randstad Rail connected to the tram network by the tram lines 11 and 12 of the Haagse Tramweg Maatschappij and the line 3. The HTM bus lines 13, 14 and 24 run through the area. An important node is the Laan van Meerdervoort, there, on lines 3, 12, 13 and 14

Structure

In the south and north are larger parks, cemeteries Oud and Nieuw Eikeduinen in the south and the Rode Kruis Plantsoen in the north. There is also the Haga Ziekenhuis, which is composed of the hospitals Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis ( Red Cross Hospital ), and the Kinderziekenhuis Juliana ( Juliana Children's Hospital ) together. The district also has many historic buildings, particularly in Valkenboskwartier. Through this quarter also flows a canal. Particularly interesting are the built in Art Nouveau style high rises in the larixstraat. The district also has a shopping street. Most shops in this district lie on the streets and Fahrenhietstraat Eddisonlaan, they run from the Segbroeklaan to Afvoerkanaal.
