Sekhemre-Heruhirmaat Intef

Anjotef VI. (extended throne name actually written Sechem -Re - heru -her- Maat- anjotef ) was an ancient Egyptian King (Pharaoh) of the 17th dynasty ( Second Intermediate Period ) and ruled by Franke around 1560 BC

Numbering

The order and arrangement of the ruler of the Second Intermediate prepares the research still major problems. Ryholt refers to this as Anjotef Anjotef VIII and sees him as the successor of Nubcheperre Anjotef, Beckerath called him, however, as Antef VII and sees him as the successor of Sechemre - Wepmaat Anjotef, there is a short inscription on the coffin of the latter, the states that the coffin was donated by a Anjotef. The spelling of the name with an additional i- mark is considered by Beckerath as a prescription of the aa- characters that just can be found in Sechemre - heru -her- maat Anjotef.

Documents

He probably reigned only briefly and has been known with certainty only from his coffin, which was found in Dra Abu el- Naga, in Thebes. ( Jürgen von Beckerath suspected that he was murdered ). His modest Rishi coffin is now in the Louvre / Paris, also this was found in Dra Abu el- Naga.
