Selfoss (waterfall)

The waterfall Selfoss is located in the north of Iceland, above the famous waterfall Dettifoss.

It is located near the Dettifoss situated on the River Jökulsá Fjöllum. The water rushes over the first Selfoss 10 m in depth, and after about a kilometer above the 45 m high Dettifoss. The third waterfall nor the 27 m high Hafragilsfoss follows downriver a few hundred meters. Finally, the river flows through the Jökulsárgljúfur National Park and past the Ásbyrgi Gorge.
