Selke Valley Trail

The Selketalstieg is a 72 km long trail in the resin. It starts at the train station in Selketalbahn stairs ( 485 m) and partly follows the river Selke. On the route are the places Guentersberge, Strassberg, Silberhütte, Alexisbad, Mägdesprung, Meis village, Ballenstedt, Gernrode, Bad Suderode and Quarmbeck. The end of the Selketalstiegs located in the Carl -Ritter -Straße in Quedlinburg (125 m). The highest point is the watershed between Hassel and Selke (500 m ) at the beginning of the path. The trail was established in 2006 by the Harz Transport Association. The associated route sign shows the silhouette of Falkenstein Castle in dark red on a white background.

In Guentersberge the 14.5 km long Bode - Selke -Stieg branches to Treseburg.
