Sellye

Sellye [ ʃɛj ː ɛ ] ( German: Clamp, Croatian: Šeljin ) is a small town in southern Hungary Baranya county, 25 km southwest of the county seat of Pécs, near the southern border of Hungary.

The village lies in the valley of the Drava River, in the region Ormánság which also forms the border with Croatia, at the intersection of two highways: the east-west route runs from the border town Barcs (40 km west) to Harkány and Siklos (37 or. 42 km), the northern route to Sumony Lake and on to Szentlőrinc (25 km ), where the highways meet after Kaposvar and Lake Balaton and Pécs. Sellye is also a small railway junction (two branch lines analogous to the above mentioned roads).
