The flags jellyfish ( Semaeostomeae ) or flags mouth Jellyfish are an order of screen Jellyfish ( Scyphozoa ). You live with about fifty species are pelagic in the upper layers of the oceans.

Appearance

Flags jellyfish have a typical jellyfish shape with a rather flat screen and only small marginal lobes. At its mouth, they carry four flags mentioned long extended edges of the mouth tube. They are very transparent and often have a blue, yellow, green or purple drawing. Since they can often occur in large flocks the sea surface appear colored by them. Flags jellyfish can reach up to more than two meters shield diameter of a few centimeters in some jellyfish from the family Cyaneidae. The cup-shaped polyp generation is two to seven millimeters long.
