Semat

Semat was an ancient Egyptian queen of the 1st dynasty and wife of King Den.

About Queen Semat is virtually nothing is known, only their grave stele was discovered in one of the neighboring tombs of King Dens necropolis at Abydos. She carried the title " The may look Horus " and " The Seth bears ". The reading of her name is controversial in the research, it was also the reading wdpw ( " servant " ) is proposed.

The stele was located in the Egyptian Museum in Berlin under the inventory number 15484th It was destroyed in the Second World War.
