Seneca (crater)

Seneca is an impact crater on the eastern edge of the lunar front side, therefore appears if anything, greatly distorted from Earth. It lies north of the larger crater Plutarch. The crater is heavily eroded and layered multiple times.

The crater was formed in 1961 officially named by the IAU by the Roman rhetorician and writer Seneca.
