Senewosret-Ankh (vizier)

Sesostrisanch was an Egyptian vizier at the end of the 12th or at the beginning of the 13th Dynasty ( around 1800 BC).

Is Sesostrisanch as vizier known by a group statue, his wife and his daughter Henutsen Satamun shows him. There is also a stele that was erected in honor of Sesostrisanch of his property manager and is now located in Florence. The statue was found in Ugarit (in modern Syria) and was in the earlier research rise to speculation that the vizier was staying because of a diplomatic mission in this city. Recent research, however, suggested that the statue was brought to an undetermined date from Egypt to Ugarit, either as a trade or as booty in war.

Sesostrisanch is also known by a number of rock inscriptions in the region of Aswan, where he bears the title "Fields Head " and " writer of the deed of the king in his presence ." So he had held for Wesier before transport these items. Since in these inscriptions the same persons as appear on the stela and statue, the identification seems secure.

As a royal name appears on any monument of Sesostrisanch, its exact date is uncertain.
