Sengelsberg (Mandern)

The Sengelsberg is a fully wooded mountain about 4 km south of Mandern in northern Hesse Waldeck- Frankenberg.

The mountain is one of the north-eastern edge heights of the Hesse forest ( natural area 341.6, part of the Ostwald Ecker edge sinks). From its highest peak, the Great Sengelsberg ( 381.8 m above sea level. NN ), an elongated saddle extends about 600 meters in an easterly direction, the ends ( 362.3 m above sea level. NN ) with the little Sengelsberg.

From Sengelsberg little to the north of the jump-off creek flows immediately to the east in a valley on Mandern past in the Eder.

East of the Great Sengelsbergs is the mill mountain ( 383 m above sea level. NN ), to the south the cat (413 m above sea level. NN ).
