Senses Fail

Senses Fail is an American post-hardcore band that was formed in Ridgewood, New Jersey, 2002.

History

Senses Fail was founded in 2002 by James " Buddy" Nielsen. About advertising on the internet he met the first occupation, which was brought by Dan Trapp ( drums) with the sample: Dave Miller ( guitar) and Garrett Zablocki ( guitar). Later Mike Glita came as a bass player to the band. On 16 August 2002, the EP From the Depths of Dreams, which led to a record deal with Drive -Thru Records appeared. These published in 2003, the EP again. 2004 debut album Let It Enfold You was released on Vagrant Records. The group then played from 2004 to 2006 on the Warped Tour. In 2005, the band participated with a cover of Suicidal Tendencies ' Institutionalized on the soundtrack for the game Tony Hawk's American Wasteland. Then with Heath Saraceno got in a new guitarist who replaced Miller. 2006 saw the album Still Searching, which went more in the direction of Emo. The next tour was held with New Found Glory. 2007 Mike Glita left the band and was briefly replaced by Jason Black of Hot Water Music, but which remained permanently in the band from then on. With him, the album Life Is Not a Waiting Room was released. 2009 Sraceno left the band again and was replaced by Zack Roach. On March 26, 2013 appeared with Renacer the previously fifth studio album by the band.

Style

Basically, the sound is based on a very melodic and harmonious post-hardcore sound, in which quieter sections with cry deposits alternate. The band plays a style that is strongly characterized by harmonious melody runs and rectilinear song structure, so not least because of strong pop-punk influences are audible in the group. Especially the first albums are heavily influenced by screamo and emo, while the later albums tend mainly towards pop-punk and post-hardcore.
