Senshi Sōsho

Sōsho Senshi (Japanese戦 史 丛书, to about German military history ) is the short form for the 102 -volume history of Japanese World War II.

The books were by the publisher Asagumo Shimbunsha (朝云 新闻 社) published in the years 1966-1980 for the Department of Military History of the National Institute of Self-Defense Forces and serve as the most important Japanese historical source of the Pacific War. You are currently only excerpts in English.

They mostly based on original documents of the Japanese forces that had been confiscated after the end of World War II by the U.S. authorities and were returned after long negotiations in April 1958, Japan. Other documents have been collected and archived by the Japanese themselves.
