Sensible heat

As tangible or sensible heat is called heat or thermal energy, which immediately manifests itself in supply or discharge changes in the temperature and thus is directly feeling or measurable.

The term is used primarily as a distinction from the latent heat. The ratio between sensible and latent heat is called the Bowen ratio.
