Å entjur

Šentjur pri Celju ( German: Sankt Georgen in Celje ) is a municipality in the Spodnja Štajerska region in Slovenia.

In the group consisting of 108 villages and hamlets, 222.3 km ² large total municipality 18,960 people live. The main town Šentjur alone has 4723 inhabitants and is located on 262 m height. The community is located 11 km from Celje.

The town was first mentioned in writing in 1340. Starting from the Church of St. George, the village developed rapidly, rich but already the signs of human culture to the New Stone Age.
