Serbów

Serbow ( German Zerbow ) is a village in the rural community Rzepin in powiat Słubicki. The place is located in the Lubusz Voivodeship in Poland and has 270 inhabitants.

Geography

Serbow lies about 18 kilometers northeast of the German -Polish border on the road connecting Frankfurt ( Oder) and Ośno Lubuskie. The place is located at an altitude of about 75 meters above the sea level.

History

After the Congress of Vienna in 1816 Zerbow lay in a circle Sternberg and after its division from 1873 to 1945 in the district of West Sternberg. In 1938 the city had 225 inhabitants and was part of the administrative district of Frankfurt ( Oder). In 1945 he was attached to Poland.
