Sergei Kuzmin (boxer)

Sergei Vasilyevich Kuzmin (Russian: Сергей Васильевич Кузьмин; * 24 June 1987 in Leningrad ) is a Russian boxer. He was the 2010 European Champion Amateur super heavyweight.

Career

Sergei Kuzmin started at the age of eleven years with the boxes. He is from St. Petersburg and is a member of the Sports Club Dynamo. He has been trained so far by W. W. Romanow and S. N. Kudriawzew.

From the junior level ( age group up to age 18 ) are of him no outstanding achievements known. It was not until the age of 20 he was so far that he was able to deny major competitions. So he took in 2007 at the Winter Championship of Russian junior boxers in the so-called " Meisterschafter Olympic hopes " and arrived there the final battle in the Super Heavyweight. 2013 Kuzmin won the European Championships in Minsk the silver medal. In the final he defeated Magomedrasul Majidov, Azerbaijan.
