Sergei Rudenko

Sergei Ivanovich Rudenko (Russian: Сергей Иванович Руденко; born January 16, 1885 in Kharkov, † 16 July 1969 in Leningrad) was a Russian archaeologist.

He put his free 1947 richly furnished grave mounds ( kurgans ) of the Pazyryk level of Pazyryk, Tuekta and Baschadar in the Altai mountains, and made startling discoveries, which are now exhibited in the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, including the Pazyryk carpet and the Pazyryk - harp dating from the 4th century BC
