Serghei Covalciuc

Serghei Covalciuc (Russian: Сергей Сергеевич Ковальчук, even Sergei Kovalchuk, Sergey Kovalchuk or; born January 20, 1982 in Odessa ) is a Moldovan- Russian football midfielder, who plays as a winger.

Covalciuc plays in the Moldovan national football team and was from 2004 to 2009 at Spartak Moscow in the Russian Premjer league contract. In 2010 he moved to league rivals Tom Tomsk. In 2011 he was hired by the Russian second division Zhemchuzhina Sochi. Previously, he played for Tiligul Tiraspol in the Moldovan league and the Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv. In June 2012, the midfielder moved to FK Aktobe.

He had first the Moldovan and Transnistrian citizenship, but in 2007 requested Covalciuc Russian citizenship in order to be able to play more often for Spartak.
