Peter moved in January 2009 to Sparta Prague. During the return flight from the training camp in Hong Kong in the summer of 2009, Peter suffered a collapse on board the aircraft. This was probably the physical strain in training camp, where Peter had lost ten kilos in two weeks. Peter was hospitalized for two weeks and got anxiety of having to break down again and again. He hardly left the house and wanted to constantly be with his family. Tests certified him to be physically healthy again, but Peter was very mentally unstable. However, the club did not believe him and therefore broke the contract with Peter after only half a season. Peter was out of contract and wanted to play football no more.

On 1 September 2010 he moved to SpVgg Neckarelz in the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg. However, the cooperation ended after only one season. Reasons for separation were his problems with being overweight and the ongoing anxiety.

After a long break and a therapy Peter moved to the end of December 2012 VfR Buerstadt in the group league Darmstadt. He wants to get fit and get some match practice, to return to professional football. He also trained privately with a personal trainer at the fitness and nutrition.
