The SES S. A. is a management holding company of satellite operators. SES stands for Société Européenne des Satellites to German European satellite company. It was established in November 2001 with the merger of SES Astra, which operates the Astra satellite system, and the General Electric subsidiary GE Americom, now SES Americom. Since December 2005, including New Skies Satellites NV to the holding company. SES Global has its seat at Castle Village in Betz Betz village, Luxembourg.

The currently 54 spacecraft of the SES reach 99 % of the world population.

The Company also holds strategic stakes in several regional operators.

SES is also involved in business in the category of satellite technology, including ND SatCom.

The stock exchanges Luxembourg and Paris, the company is listed under the symbol SESG.
