Sevil Sabancı

Sevil Sabancı ( born January 4, 1973 in Istanbul) is a Turkish entrepreneur and rider. She is a member of the Sabancı family.

Life

Sevil Sabancı was born as the third child of Sakıp Sabancı, the founder of Sabancı Holding. Sabancı graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Marmara University in Istanbul.

After her studies, she worked at various locations in family businesses. From 1997 to 2001 she was Managing Director of Sabanci Holding. She is a board member of the Türkan Sabancı School for the Visually Impaired, which was founded by her mother, Türkan Sabancı.

From her marriage with Eran Tapan she has a daughter.

Equestrian

Inspired by the equestrian statue in the garden of the family villa, Sabanci was a passionate show jumper. It starts at national and partly international show jumping tournaments and took in June 2010 in the Finnish Ypäjä first time in a Nations Cup part.

From 2004 to 2007 she was vice-president of the Turkish Equestrian Federation.

Sabancı Turkish supports both show jumping and Gerry Flynn, by providing them with horses for the big sports. By mid-2010 it was also Cameron Hanley horses. The S International Equestrian Center, founded by her team ( SIEC ) is run by Gerry Flynn as head coach and Gerry Mullins as a team manager. The horses of the team are housed in the shed by Dietmar Gugler.
