Sezai Karakoç

Sezai Karakoç ( born 1933 in Diyarbakır ) is a Turkish poet of the Second New and party chairman of Yüce Diriliş Partisi.

Karakoç studied political science at Ankara University and worked in the financial sector. He is one of the pioneers of legal religious discourse in Turkish literature. In his poetry he seeks to bridge traditional Islamic faith and modern poetic techniques.
