SG Aumund-Vegesack

The SG Aumund- Vegesack is a sports club from the district north of the city of Bremen.

History

The club was founded in 1892 in Vegesack. The departments of the sports club sports include badminton, gymnastics, football, handball, swimming, boxing, table tennis, sport fishing, judo, karate and athletics. Since 1970, exists within the club life, a band with over 40 participants. The association has over 2000 members, the first chairman is Volker Beringer.

Soccer Department

The football section of the club has a lawn and an artificial turf field at Vegesacker station. 2013, the department had about 400 members. After the Second World War, the footballer played for a time in the amateur league Bremen, the then second division. 2013 plays club in Bremen-Liga. He completed his home games at the stadium Vegesack. In the 2012/13 season they won the lottery Bremer Cup, the right to participate in the first round of the DFB Cup the following season. Against the Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim was held until the break 0-0 before the Hoffenheim could still very clearly prevail 9-0.

Karate Department

The Karate Department is one of over 200 members to the strong departments of the association and the National Association of Bremen.
