SG Post/Süd Regensburg

The SG Post / Süd Regensburg is a sports club from the city of Regensburg. The association was created from the merger of Post SV Regensburg with the TSG South Regensburg 1986.

Post SV Regensburg

Predecessor club Post SV Regensburg was founded in 1928, but served from 1942 until the war ended under the name SG Post Regensburg. A foundation took the club until 1950 as VfL Regensburg in 1928, returned in 1952 back to the historical name post. In sporting terms, the Post SV participated in the DFB-Pokal 1981/82 for the time being, only once on regional part, was defeated in the first round Tennis Borussia Berlin with 3:4.

SG Post / Süd Regensburg

The football section of the newly formed SG Post / Süd Regensburg took the place of the Post SV Regensburg in the national league middle.
