SGV Freiberg

The sports and singing club Freiberg eV football is a football club from the Baden- Württemberg town of Freiberg am Neckar. It was created in 2010 by the splitting off of the football section of the October 26, 1973 as a merger of the SGV Heutingsheim and TSV Beihingen founded SGV Freiberg. The association is known mainly for the 1st team playing in the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg.

Their home games wearing the teams from the Wasen Stadium. In addition to the stadium still has two other turf fields, a turf practice field and artificial turf available in the sports area Wasen. The Wasen stadium has a capacity of 4,000 spectators, of which around 800 seats in the stands. The attendance record is 1,800 for the first league derby against Spvgg 07 Ludwigsburg in the 2001/2002 season.

The highest defeat in the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg had to put 1846 SGV Freiberg 2005 a 12:13 against the SSV Ulm. The football -A- Youth reached the final of the DFB Junior Club Cup in 2004, but it lost to Hertha BSC 0:5.
