Shag River (Waihemo)

The Shag River is a river in the Otago region of the South Island of New Zealand. He springs from the Kakanui Range and flows for 50 km in a southeasterly direction before it opens at Palmerston in the Pacific. The Dunback branch line of the Main South Line was operated from the 1880s until 1989, followed by their branch of the Main South Line in Palmerston to endpoint in Dunback largely the river.
