Shahbaz Khan Kamboh

Shahbaz Khan Kamboh (* 1529, † November 11, 1599 ) was the greatest general of the Indian Mughal Empire under the Mughal emperor Akbar.

He took part in many of the campaigns Akbar's part, inter alia, against Rathod, Rana Pratap, Arab Bahadur and Khan -i - Shaibani Bahadhur, and the Mughal Empire conquered several countries.

From 1583 he was governor and commander in chief of Bengal, where he repeatedly fought against Isha Khan, especially in the Brahmaputra and the provinces of Bihar and the Deccan.

As a devout Sunni Shahbaz Khan did not accord with Akbar, but he was highly regarded in the ruler because of his skills in military affairs and administration. Personally, he lived as an ascetic and was praised for his charity.
