Shahid Beheshti University of Medical The Sciences and Health Services (Persian دانشگاه علوم پزشکی و خدمات بهداشتی درمانی شهید بهشتی, Eng. Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences ), with around 13,000 students (SS 2008), one of the largest and most prestigious Iranian universities. It is part of Shahid Beheshti University (SBU ), which includes other non-medical faculties.

History

The college was founded in 1960 as part of the National University of Iran, whose name was changed in Shahid Beheshti University after the Islamic Revolution in 1983. The University became independent in the restructuring and reorganization of the SBU in 1986. In 2007, the SBU and SBMU signed an agreement to be uniformly listed by the Institute for Scientific Information as Shahid Beheshti University. Shahid Beheshti University, M. C.
