Sharon Burley

Sharon Kay Burley Sullivan ( born May 8, 1956 in Tripoli, Libya ) is a former Australian figure skater.

Burley took part in five World Figure Skating Championships 1972-1976. In 1972, she was in Calgary, Canada 19 A year later, her in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, a 21 rank, 1974 in Munich, Bavaria, the 26th and the 25th 1975 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. At their last World Cup appearance in 1976 she won the 22th place. In the same year she performed at the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck, Austria on the individual run and reached this rank 20th

Burley is the daughter of a U.S. soldier and Nancy Burley, an Australian figure skater. After she was born because of the stationing of her father in Libya, she moved at the age of three weeks at the home of her mother in Australia. Her brother Robyn Burley, was also skaters and Australian champions.
