Shaun Micheel

Shaun Carl Micheel ( born January 5, 1969 in Orlando, Florida) is an American professional golfer on the PGA TOUR. It belongs to the group of Major winner.

He attended Indiana University and in 1992 was professional golfer. After Micheel initially could not permanently maintain on the big PGA TOUR, he tried his hand on the Asian Tour and the second in rows North American Nike Tour where he could each make a tournament victory. It was not until 2000, Micheel established constant on the PGA TOUR and managed in 2003 with his first title equal to the big hit - the PGA Championship, one of the four majors. After that, it has again become quiet around him, however. In September 2006, he achieved his final placing in the most highly endowed HSBC World Match Play Championship after Micheel had defeated the world number one Tiger Woods in the second round. In the final he was defeated, although the Englishman Paul Casey, but his prize money of £ 400,000 was more than you get at most major tournaments for the victory.

Shaun Micheel is with his wife Stephanie, a lawyer, married, has one child and resides in Memphis, Tennessee.
