She's Like the Wind is a Pop-/Rock-Lied from 1987, sung by actor Patrick Swayze and Wendy Fraser singer.

Background

When the producers of the film Dirty Dancing wanted to finish the work on the film music, Swayze asked if he could not write a song for the film and sing this as well. As the producer and the director expressed no objections, Swayze wrote together with the film and television composer Stacy Widelitz the song and demonstrated his previously unknown singer and songwriter qualities. The song was originally intended for the film Grandview from 1984, in which Swayze had also played, but instead it accompanied him on his role in Dirty Dancing in 1987.

Music Video

The music video for She 's Like the Wind was filmed in black / white. It shows original excerpts from the film Dirty Dancing. In addition, scenes of Patrick Swayze and Wendy Fraser are displayed. The video is also included on the DVD of the film.

Reception

The song, as well as the film in which the song was built, was a great success. She's Like the Wind peaked at number 3 in the U.S. charts and in many other countries, the top 10 charts.

In the film (500 ) Days of Summer from 2009 tells the character Tom from the fact that he hears this song at every time he looks at his colleague buzzer or thinks of them.
