She & Him

She & Him is an indie folk band from the United States. It consists of Zooey Deschanel (vocals, piano and banjo) and M. Ward (guitar and producer).

History

M. Ward heard Zooey Deschanel in the movie Buddy - sing The Christmas Elf. He was amazed that Deschanel himself wrote songs and yet not seeking career as a musician. Zooey Deschanel took years demos at home, but was too shy to publish this .. Deschanel sent their demos to M. Ward. After a short while he called her to tell her that he would like to record their songs. The band She & Him was founded. Zooey Deschanel said in an interview: "I 've always loved music, ever since I was small. I just loved to sing. "
