The Sheboygan County is a county located in the state of Wisconsin in the United States. In the census in 2010, the County had 115 507 inhabitants and a population density of .. inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Sheboygan.
Geography
The County is located in southeastern Wisconsin, on the east by Lake Michigan and has an area of 3292 square kilometers, of which 1962 square miles are water. It is bordered by the following counties:
History
Sheboygan County was formed in 1836 as an original county of the Wisconsin Territory. It was named, as well as the district capital, according to the Sheboygan River.
Demographic data
According to the census in 2000 lived in Sheboygan County 112 646 people in 43 545 households. 29,915 families living in the county. The population density was 85 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was made up of 92.71 percent White, 1.09 percent African American, 0.36 percent Native American, 3.28 percent Asian, 0.02 percent of residents from the Pacific Islander and 1.46 percent from other races groups; 1.07 percent were descended from two or more races. 3.36 percent of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race, were members of the various groups mentioned.
Of the 43 545 households out of which 32.3 percent of children under the age of 18 living with them. 58.0 percent were married couples living together, 7.3 percent were single mothers. 31.3 percent were non-families. 26.1 percent of all households and 10.4 percent living alone who is 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size is 3.05 people.
25.5 percent of the population were under 18 years old, 8.4 percent between 18 to 24, 29.8 percent between 25 and 44, 22.3 percent between 45 and 64, and 14.0 percent were 65 years or older. The average age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 100.6 males.
