The Sheffield Hallam University ( SHU ) is a British public university in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. It is adjacent to the University of Sheffield is one of two universities in Sheffield.
History
In 1992, the City Polytechnic was officially renamed to the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University. However, the device can already look back on a long history that dates back to the year 1843:

Student Life
Student life at the Hallam University is mainly influenced by the Sheffield Hallam University Students Union. This has its headquarters in the building of the former National Centre for Popular Music, and regularly hosts events of Hallam Union.
