Career

The band was founded in May 2004 by the singer Gudrun Liemberger, guitarist Andy Liu, bassist Valentin Roseggerhaus and the drummer Cathi Priemer.

The singer -songwriter Gudrun Liemberger may have completed a musical, singing and acting studies. Her recent years have been marked by music. Band experience she gained in a variety of directions ( Irish Folk, Folk - Pop, Jazz ). She has a daughter. The drummer Cathi Priemer was at age 21 the youngest of the quartet, learned already with ten drums and studied at the Vienna Conservatory of Music. She also previously played in the punk band Pantskirt.

Band experience has also bassist Valentin Roseggerhaus, who has played with his band Spit at major concerts in the opening act. He is also a trained sound engineer. He and Priemer knew each other, as the chance encounter with Liemberger in the rehearsal room laid the foundation for the band. They decided to take the same album, and for that, guitarist Andy Liu the group. He has also been a lot of band experience and renounced for the band to study music.

Ö3 Soundcheck and then

To draw attention to themselves for a record deal, she competed at Ö3 Soundcheck 2005, which was attended by nearly 600 bands. In November 2005, they were able to prevail in the final of the 15 best in the listener vote. With their song Rose Gardens they conquered after the Austrian charts and reached # 2 The video for the single is similar to that of the U2 song New Year's Day and playing in a snowy garden where roses grow.

In March 2006, the album was followed under the title SheSays, which made ​​it immediately even up to the top of the LP charts.

SheSays were nominated in 2006 for two Amadeus Austrian Music Awards and got him in the category Newcomer of the Year nationally, while they could not prevail at single of the year 2006. In June 2006, the band made ​​an appearance at Vienna's Danube Island Festival. In the same year the band toured - including as the opening act for Deep Purple - across Europe, where they were very successful.

In spring 2007, even before the publication of a second album, the departure of drummer Cathi Priemer was announced that wants to move on to other projects. She then played in the band of Alex Golda ( ex-star Maniac ). The remaining trio then decided to keep going without a fixed occupation of the drums.

Shortly after this came out, the single Open Your Eyes, which reached number 39 in the Ö3 Austria Top 40.

A few months later appeared to want it the group's second album, which reached the 18th place on the charts; SheSays were looking for a new drummer and were successful with Rainer Schumich; also they went with Bryan Adams on Central European tour.

The single Save Me appeared on July 27, 2007. A cover version of the same songs in rock band Queen, which reached number 37.

On 25 April 2008 the third single titled Tear Me Down was released.

In the fall of 2008, the band released the song It's Time as a release off the album Unplugged Acoustic Live, which this time - instead of at EMI Music - appeared at Homebase Records.

In November 2009, the band broke up due to musical differences. Gudrun Liemberger under the name GuGabriel still musically active.
