Shesha Palihakkara

Shesha Palihakkara ( b. 1928; † 12 July 2009) was a Sri Lankan ballet dancer, actor, director and film producer.

Shesha Palihakkara was known as an acrobat in the play " Matalan ". His first big feature film was in the feature film by Lester James Peries Rekava, which was presented at the International Film Festival of Cannes 1957. He produced the films Getawarayo (1964 ), Sarawita and Ranmuthu Duwa (1962).

His dance was influenced by Chitrasena, the master dancer of the National Ballet of Sri Lanka; he taught many famous dancers of Sri Lanka.
