Shields and Yarnell

Lorene Yarnell ( born March 21, 1944 in Inglewood, California, † 29 July, 2010 Sandefjord, Norway ) was an American actress, tap dancer and mime.

Life

Yarnell began in childhood with the dance and was 15 years old, a first-class tap dancer. She was a dancer on TV shows and met during the filming of the television production Fol -de -Rol on Robert Shields, one trained by Marcel Marceau mimes. Yarnell followed Shields to San Francisco, where both were married in 1972. While she taught him to dance, she learned from him the art of mime. After several years in San Francisco, the couple moved in 1975 to Los Angeles, where she first became part of the ensemble of the Mac Davis Show, and then the Sonny and Cher Show. From CBS in 1977, they received their own common entertainment show, Shields and Yarnell. The half-hour mix of mime, dance and skits set in 1978 due to poor ratings; the show was in direct competition with the hit sitcom Laverne & Shirley on ABC. Following both stepped among other television roles with own shows in Las Vegas and Reno on.

1981 both received their own Broadway show, according to miserable reviews it was canceled after the first performance. Mid-1980s, the marriage ended in divorce. Yarnell had her last film appearance in 1987.
