Shimanto, Kōchi (city)

Shimanto (Japanese四万 十 市-shi ) is a city in the prefecture Kōchi in Japan.

Geography

Shimanto is located southwest of Kōchi on the Pacific Ocean. By Shimanto river of the same flows.

History

Shimanto was on April 10, 2005 through the unification of the city Nakamura (中 村 市, -shi) with the village Nishitosa (西 土 佐 村, -mura ) founder of the district Hata.
