Shin Eun-kyung

Shin Eun- kyung (* February 15, 1973 in Seoul, South Korea) is a South Korean actress.

After studying acting at Dongguk University in her hometown, followed in 1986 by her television debut in an article for the public KBS. In the following years she worked as an actress in numerous national television productions. In 1989, she finally admitted to the socially critical drama Kuro arirang her feature film debut. Her breakthrough came in 1997 in the role of a courageous prostitutes in Im Kwon- taeks film Chang ( Kor. 노는 계집 창 ).

In 1999, she also acted increasingly in international films, as in the Japanese- South Korean co-production The Ring Virus, a remake of the Japanese hit film Ring - The original, as well as in a supporting role in the Japanese horror film Uzumaki. Two years later she played her most successful role as a female crime boss in My Wife Is a Gangster and its stragglers My Wife Is a Gangster 2, two contributions of a commercially successful film series in South Korea.

Private the actress from 2003 to 2007 was married. The marriage went forth a son.
