Shin Kyuk-ho

Shin Kyuk -ho ( born October 4, 1922 in Ulsan, South Korea today ) is a Japanese- South Korean managers. He is the founder and CEO of Lotte, a multinational company.

Life

Shin Kyuk -ho was born in Ulsan in the former Japanese Empire and today South Korea and is part of the Korean minority in Japan. He has a bachelor's degree from Waseda University, and in 1948 founded the company Lotte in Tokyo. The name he chose on the basis of Charlotte (short: Lotte ) from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther. In 2010, he was 88 years with the oldest CEO among the 1,000 largest Korean companies. According to the American Forbes Magazine he and his children are among the richest South Koreans. Shin is married and has three children born in wedlock. His youngest daughter Yoo -mi ( b. 1983 ) comes from an extramarital relationship with a beauty queen in 1977. As with many chaebols his legitimate children have (Young -ja, Dong -bin and Dong -ju ) held senior positions in his company. He lives a few months a year in South Korea, the other in Japan.
