Shirley Thomas (athlete)

Shirley Thomas ( Shirley Anne Thomas, born June 15, 1963 in Lambeth, London) is a former British sprinter.

The Vice European Junior champion in the 100 m in 1981 came a year later over the same distance at the European Athletics Championships in Athens the semi-finals and won with the British team silver in the 4 x 100 - meter relay.

At the World Athletics Championships 1983, she retired again from about 100 m in the semi-finals and won in the relay another silver medal.

In 1984 she arrived at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles to the quarterfinals.
