Shiur (Torah)

A Shi'ur (Hebrew שׁיעור ) or shiur called Judaism a lecture or a common discussion and interpretation of passages from the Torah, the Talmud and other sacred writings. This can be both were regular lessons for the students of a Talmudic school and a rabbinical seminary, as well as a joint event of interested lay people, similar to the Christian Bible circles.
